Accessibility Statement

The present statement was prepared on October 25, 2024.

The Project Team has put substantial effort to make the present website accessible to everyone according to the current legislation (Gov. Journal 19A/12-02-2019, Modified 47A/13-03-2019). The accessible content includes among other features the possibility of navigation over the geographical map of the application through the keyboard even though the legislation considers the online map accessibility exempted from the requirements due to the related technical difficulties.

The website has been implemented to be compatible with the latest release of the Google Chrome browser.

Despite our effort to ensure compatibility, we recognize the following limitations:

  • The specification of the region of interest for extreme weather conditions by a registered user is not supported with plain use of the keyboard without the mouse device.
  • The activation and movement of a graph with meteorological measurements over the map is not supported with plain use of the keyboard without the mouse device.

Every interested party has the right to submit comments or a request about the accessibility compliance status, or a request about missing information (Principal Investigator: Prof N. Hatzianastasiou). In case of unsatisfactory response, the interested party can contact the responsible authorities, such as the Greek Ombudsman.
